The All-New BMW X7 vs. the Cadillac Escalade

The BMW X7 is a full-size luxury sports utility vehicle (SUV) fully loaded with standard features, technologies, safety features, and high-quality interior materials. Whether you seek a large SUV for the whole family to enjoy or appreciate the feel of a full-size crossover, the all-new BMW X7 just might be the right choice. It is BMW’s largest vehicle, but shorter and slimmer than the Cadillac Escalade, making parking and navigating traffic a breeze throughout northern Indiana. Whether your travels take you through the Schererville, Gary, or Hammond communities, or even to the Chicago area, you can rest assured that your BMW X7 will get you there in luxury and style.

Power and Efficiency

Escalade
The Cadillac Escalade averages 14 miles to the gallon in the city and 18 miles per gallon on the highway.
2024 BMW X7
The 2024 BMW X7 averages 21 miles to the gallon in the city and 25 miles per gallon on the highway.

The Escalade’s V8 engine, combined with its 5,635-pound curb weight, enables this full-size luxury model to travel up to an EPA-estimated 14 miles to the gallon in the city and 18 miles per gallon on the highway, making it the less preferable choice for longer commutes and road trips. Meanwhile, the BMW X7 offers more flexibility on the road with 21 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. Cruise up to Chicago more efficiently in the BMW X7. The BMW X7 is also almost 500 pounds lighter than the Escalade, and has a larger tank size, contributing to better fuel economy in the long term.

Standard Safety Features

Steering and Lane Guidance Assist and Lane Departure Warning help to keep you safe on the highway.
Active Blind Spot Detection comes standard on the BMW X7, but is not standard on the Cadillac Escalade base model.

The BMW X7 helps make daily driving easier with its Active Driving Assistant, standard on all X7 models. The Active Driving Assistant system includes safety features like Active Blind Spot Detection, Frontal Collision Warning with City Collision Mitigation, and Lane Departure Warning. The available Driving Assistance Professional package includes Highway Assistant, which allows for hands-free driving up to 85 mph on the highways of Indiana and beyond. While most of these features are also available on the Cadillac Escalade, they are not standard on the base model.

A Little Extra Comfort and Convenience to Enjoy!

Escalade
The latest iDrive 8 Operating System comes standard and displays on the BMW Curved Display for easy access to your favorite entertainment and communication features, including standard wireless Android Auto™ or Apple CarPlay® compatibility.
2024 BMW X7
Crystal Headlights, newly available for the 2024 X7 xDrive40i, give an elevated look to the distinctive front view.

Both of these luxury SUVs feature many of the same standard amenities and both have room for up to seven passengers, allowing you to take your large family or carpool members wherever they need to go. However, if you really want to maximize your luxurious experience, then the BMW X7 is the right choice for you as it comes standard with four-zone automatically-adjusting climate control and the BMW curved display which features a 12.3-inch digital gauge display and a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen. You will enjoy the BMW’s technology, convenience, and comfort no matter where you are driving, but you’ll especially enjoy the view from the X7’s two-pane power panoramic moonroof.
