BMW Inspection I

Undercarriage

– Change engine oil and filter while engine is at normal operation temperature.
– Check transmission for leaks.
– Check rear axle for leaks.
– Visually check fuel tank, lines and connections for leaks.
– Check exhaust system for condition, mounting, and examine for leaks.
– Check power steering system for leaks.
– Check condition and measurement of front and rear brake pads.
– Check condition of brake disc/rotors.
– Clean brake contact points in calipers. Grease wheel centering hubs.
– Check steering for absence of play, condition or suspension track rods, front axle joints, steering linkage and joint disc.
– Check parking brake actuation.
– Check brake system connections and lines for leaks, damage and incorrect positioning.
– Check clutch system connections and lines for leaks, damage and incorrect positioning.
– Check all tire pressures (including spare) Correct if necessary.
– Check condition of tires (outer surfaces (left/right), tread wear and pattern.

Engine Compartment

– Read out diagnostic system.
– Check engine cooling system/heater hose connections for leaks.
– Check coolant level and antifreeze protection level; add coolant if necessary.
– Check level of brake fluid in reservoir; add fluid if required.
– Check clutch fluid level in reservoir add fluid if required.
– Check windshield washer fluid level and antifreeze protection; fill up and/or correct if necessary.
– Check air conditioner for operation.
– Reset Service Interval Indicator.

Body/Electrical Equipment

– Check battery state-of-charge
– Check lighting system, i.e. headlights, fog lights, parking lights, back-up lights, license plate light, interior (including map reading lights), luggage area lights.
– Check instrument panel and dashboard illumination.
– Check all waming/indicator lights, check control.
– Check tum signals, hazard waming flashers, brake lights, hom.
– Check wipers and washer systems; wiper blades, washer jet position.
– Check condition and function of safety belts.
– Check center locking/double lock.
– Check operation of all latches; lubricate as required.
– Check heater/air conditioner blower fan, rear window defogger.
– Check rear view mirrors.
– Visually examine the SRS airbag units for torn cover. obvious damage of SRS airbag units for tom covers, obvious attachment of decals, decorations or accessories.

Final Inspection

– Road test with check of brakes, suspension, steering, clutch/manual or automatic transmission.

BMW Inspection II

Undercarriage

– Change engine oil and filter while engine is at normal operation temperature.
– Check transmission for leaks.
– Check rear axle for leaks.
– Visually check fuel tank, lines and connections for leaks.
– Check condition, position and mounting of exhaust system. Examine for leaks.
– Check power steering system for leaks.
– Check overall thickness of front and rear disc brake pads.
– Examine brake disc surfaces.
– Clean brake pad contact points in calipers.
– Grease wheel center hubs.
– Check steering for absence of play, condition or suspension track rods, front axle joints, steering linkage and joint disc.
– Check brake (and clutch) system connections and lines for leaks, damage and incorrect positioning.
– Half shafts: check for leaks at flexible boots.
– Check parking brake actuation. Adjust if necessary.
– Check all tire pressures (including spare and correct if necessary).
– Check condition of tires (outer surfaces (left/right), tread wear and pattem.
– Inspect entire body according to terms of rust perforation limited warranty

Engine Compartment

– Read out diagnostic system.
– Check engine cooling system/heater hose connections for leaks.
– Check coolant level and antifreeze protection level; add coolant if necessary.
– Check level of brake and clutch fluid in reservoir; add fluid if required.
– Check windshield washer fluid level and antifreeze protection; fill up and/or correct if necessary.
– Check air conditioner for operation.
– Replace micro filters.
– Replace spark plugs as required by mileage.
– Replace intake air cleaner per condition.
– Reset Service Interval Indicator.
