The 2025 BMW X5 is available in four trim levels, including sDrive40i, xDrive40i, xDrive 50i, and the M50i, each with ample customizable features. The xDrive45e is an all-new plug-in electric hybrid. Non-metallic and metallic exterior paint choices along with multiple spoke wheel styles allow you to find the look that suits your taste and style.
The BMW X5 reduces drag and optimizes aerodynamics with the active kidney grille, air curtains, and air breather systems. All-season run-flat tires are standard on all models.
The standard dual-panel Panoramic Moonroof on the BMW X5 lets you see more of the world and makes the spacious interior feel even bigger. The Panoramic Sky Lounge LED Roof dramatically enhances the moonroof’s dimensions, while adding an elegant LED light pattern in a choice of six colors. Select your color choice via iDrive: blue, bronze, green, lilac, orange, and white.
Each BMW X5 engine is packed with power, whether you choose the inline-6, the fuel-efficient plug-in hybrid powertrain, or the V-8 of the BMW X5 M50i. The sDrive40i (rear-wheel drive) or xDrive40i (all-wheel drive) are powered by a 335-hp turbocharged inline-six. The xDrive50i has a 456-hp twin-turbocharged V-8. The M50i features 523 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque from its turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8. These engines are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission, providing the power you want and expect.
The X5’s refined ride and stable handling are better than ever. With standard Dynamic Damper Control and multiple suspension types from Adaptive M Suspension to 2-axle air suspension, your BMW X5 is equipped for tough challenges. The X5 has a maximum towing capacity of 7200 pounds no matter which engine it has.
This suite of features is designed for adventure. It includes rugged underguard elements, a mechanical differential lock, four xOffRoad driving modes (xSand, xRocks, xGravel, and xSnow), xDrive system, accelerator response, transmission control, and the dynamic stability control system’s corrective input to deliver the ideal ride on a range of surfaces.
Power-adjustable front seats with memory for the driver are standard. All models have a power-adjustable steering column, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power rear liftgate, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and customizable ambient lighting.

The interior of the BMW X5 has twin 12.3-inch displays. One is a digital gauge display, and the other provides access to the infotainment system running BMW’s iDrive software. The Head-up Display projects a multi-color image that appears to float beyond the windshield, just below your line of vision. You can monitor preferred travel information, BMW Navigation system directional arrows, infotainment functions, and more, without taking your eyes off the road.

Ultrasonic sensors in the front and rear bumpers help you judge the distance to other vehicles and unseen objects when parking. The system uses an audible beep that speeds up the closer you get to an object, changing into a constant tone when the distance is less than 12 inches.

They tried to screw me on the interest rate after representing that I got the best rate with a BMW CPO. They also tried selling me an aftermarket extended warranty. The piece of paper he used to "illustrate" how the warranty worked had the BMW logo in his "target box". Although he never expressed that it was a BMW warranty, his "drawing" implied otherwise. Be very careful going through F and I at any dealership, and especially careful at BMW of Schererville.

Everything was really good with 2 exceptions. Was told my repair would take 4-5 hrs dropped my car off at 9:45am, but didn't get a call until 4:30pm. I'm not in Schereville, so didn't get there until 5:30 Cashier couldn't find my keys after digging through keys laying everywhere I spotted them, but they were not correctly tagged, so I had to convince her they were mine. 10 out of 10 experience! I had my first oil change at BMW this past week. The customer service and oil change service was amazing. They picked up my vehicle from my office while I was at work. I was able to see the step by step progress to see when my car would be finished.
