A giant of the luxury midsize-crossover-SUV class, the 2023 BMW X5 can seat up to seven and offers variants powered by V8 engines.

The 2023 BMW X5 is available in four trim levels, including sDrive40i, xDrive40i, xDrive 50i, and the M50i, each with ample customizable features. The xDrive45e is an all-new plug-in electric hybrid. Non-metallic and metallic exterior paint choices along with multiple spoke wheel styles allow you to find the look that suits your taste and style.
The BMW X5 reduces drag and optimizes aerodynamics with the active kidney grille, air curtains, and air breather systems. All-season run-flat tires are standard on all models.
The standard dual-panel Panoramic Moonroof on the BMW X5 lets you see more of the world and makes the spacious interior feel even bigger. The Panoramic Sky Lounge LED Roof dramatically enhances the moonroof’s dimensions, while adding an elegant LED light pattern in a choice of six colors. All powertrain options offer outstanding handling and dynamics along with smooth, strong acceleration.
Each BMW X5 engine is packed with power, whether you choose the inline-6, the fuel-efficient plug-in hybrid powertrain, or the V-8 of the BMW X5 M50i. The sDrive40i (rear-wheel drive) or xDrive40i (all-wheel drive) are powered by a 335-hp turbocharged inline-six. The xDrive50i has a 456-hp twin-turbocharged V-8. The M50i features 523 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque from its turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8. These engines are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission, providing the power you want and expect.
The X5’s refined ride and stable handling are better than ever. With standard Dynamic Damper Control and multiple suspension types from Adaptive M Suspension to 2-axle air suspension, your BMW X5 is equipped for tough challenges. The X5 has a maximum towing capacity of 7200 pounds no matter which engine it has.
This suite of features is designed for adventure. The interior of the BMW X5 has twin 12.3-inch displays. One is a digital gauge display, and the other provides access to the infotainment system running BMW’s iDrive software. Apply CarPlay capability is standard. Enhanced USB and Bluetooth options are available, along with multiple premium sound systems.
The BMW X5 offers several standard driver-assistance features including automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Ultrasonic sensors in the front and rear bumpers help you judge the distance to other vehicles and unseen objects when parking. The system uses an audible beep that speeds up the closer you get to an object, changing into a constant tone when the distance is less than 12 inches.
Parking Assistant finds parking spaces on the right or left side and then steers you into the spot. The camera system provides an aerial view, and also operates for perpendicular spaces.

The service department was great there for this service. My car had been stolen and was being towed to BMW to change out the filters. I had not really seen the interior or smelled it much, but they understood my circumstances and concern and were very helpful. My service rep, Fallon, followed up with me in a very timely manner and really exceeded my expectations. I also have to say that the BMW Connect folks were fabulous at helping the police recover my car!

I had an emergency on the highway with a flat tire and was able to limp to the dealership with the runflat tire. Stephanie the service associate and her fellow service associate saw to it that my tires were replaced and I was back on the highway in about an hour and a half. Great dealership. Service writer was very accommodating, polite and informative. She continually kept me up to date on the status of the service work on my car, including a phone call after I picked up up to be sure the service was performed correctly. The only negative is that the courtesy car program has been dropped which is one of the major reasons that I bought the car here. COVID related or not I don’t think it’s fair that a person has to rent a car from Enterprise and pick up the tab, for what it’s worth. ...

I had an emergency and I got an appointment that day, they told me what was wrong, continued to check on me and made the repair. Very friendly and forthright.
Within five minutes of arrival, my car was driven inside and regular maintenance began. An hour and a half later, the work was completed. My car was under warranty and no payment was due. It was washed externally and cleaned internally. The service technician performed the work efficiently and the service advisor was pleasant and professional. All went smoothly. The waiting area is such that customers were comfortable and socially distanced, and everyone wore a mask.
The experience was excellent! However, at the time of purchase, I did not realize that the vehicle would be needing to be serviced in 4200 miles. This is an unexpected expense so soon after purchasing a certified BMW.
